ANNA AGNES BUCHOLZ (nee BESSLER) 1915 - 2004 We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our wonderful Mother and Grandmother on Saturday, May 1, 2004 as the sun shone through a departing dawn. Mom will be remembered and cherished by her daughter, best friend and caregiver Eileen (Moke) of Winnipeg, dedicated and loving son Don (wife Judy) and special grandchildren, Michelle and Craig, all of North Vancouver, BC. Mom was predeceased by Dad (Leonard) in 1996; and earlier by her parents Emil and Pauline Bessler. Mom spent her early years in Emerson and later moved to Winnipeg where she always lived and wished never to leave. Although Mom worked outside of the home from time to time, her heart was always at home. Priorities and values were focused on her family, home and the church. Mom will be remembered for her cheerful disposition, overwhelming generosity and the joy she took from the little things in life - like singing songs, looking at family pictures, watching her flowers grow, daily car rides, treats and saying her prayers. Mom also enjoyed making others happy. One of her many special talents included the shortbread cookies, minced tarts and butter tarts she lovingly baked for us. Mom was happiest surrounded by her daughter, son, grandchildren and family and friends. We will always cherish the memories of these many special occasions. Over the years, Mom has touched countless numbers of people and added an extra dimension of kindness, compassion and love to their lives. In later years Alzheimer's limited Mom's activities but the same endearing values persisted. Hi Steppers Senior's Club and weekly services at Grace Lutheran Church were continuous sources of comfort and joy to Mom. Special thanks to Dr. Kathy Kisil whose compassion and skill helped Mom so much over the last few years. We would also like to acknowledge Dr's. Lage and Bergen at Concordia Hospital as well as the many nurses and staff in three East for providing such tender loving care during her recent illness. A Memorial Service will take place Friday, May 7 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church (Henderson Highway and Kimberly). Officiating will be Pastors, Bruce Gelhorn and Paul Gehrs. Internment will follow at a later date in Emerson. Mom was the best of role models for living life to the fullest. For Mom every day was the best day. Mom is now reunited with husband Leonard Bucholz and the special people she has missed and longed for over the years. We miss you and will love you forever.
