"Rachel, the next sister, who was born 14 Sep 1830, was married in 1847 to Spencer Hulbert, a farmer and pioneer who came from Ohio to Wisconsin in 1837. The California gold fever carried him West in 1851, and he returned a rich man in 1853. He is still farming in Burns Township, La Crosse County, Wisconsin. The children born to Rchel and Spencer Hulbert are Orpha, a sucessful school teacher, who became the wife of Samuel McDill, a prominent contractor and builder of Grand Crossing, Ill., their children are Maud, Mabel, Elve, Loretta and Samuel Herbert. Dollie C. and Clarence H., now deceased; and Elmer, who married Edith M. "Elias Heimbach. b. 27 june 1832 and in 1857 married Jane Bunker. he died in June 1865, leaving a daughter, Bercia, and two sons, Alton and Elias. The latter died in 1870. The daughter an accomplished young lady, who engaged in teaching in Eau Claire, was there married and died four weeks later, mouned by a large circle of friends. Alton, the last of the record, is far from being the least. He is a young man of brilliant prospects, who in 1888 married Annie Rumple, of Whitehall, Wis., They have two sons - Harvey and Earle. Eugene Vader died at his farm home near Colwood, Thursday, September 23,1939, at the age of 82 years. He had been in poor health for some time. He was born in Genesee County, NY. August 27, 1857,to Henry &Sara Ann Cope Vader and came to Tuscola County when he was 16 years of age, residing here continuously until his death. He bought and cleared the farm in Columbia Township 57 years ago. On September 29, 1880 he was married to Ida Daines, who preceded him in death 2 years ago. Six children were born to this union, one dying in infancy and Herbert, of Redford, who died 4 weeks ago. Surviving are Forrest and Roy of Colwood, Mrs. Vivian Thane and Mrs. Vina Barriger of Ellington. He also leaves 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grand children. Funeral services were held at the Remington Church, of which he was a member, Saturday afternoon. Rev. E.R. Wilson officiating, assisted by Rev. Arthur Howard. Burial was made in Caro Cemetery. She had been in poor health for several years. She moved with her parents to Tuscola County when she was 9 years old and has been a continuous resident until her death. Fifty-five years ago she and her husband bought and cleared the farm in Columbia Township which has since been their home. Ida Josephine Daines was born near Redford, Wayne County, 8-25-1862 to Judson & Julia Daines. She was united in marriage with Eugene Vader 9-29-1880, and to this union were born 6 children, one who died in infancy. Surviving are Forrest of Colwood; Mrs. Vivian Thane and Mrs. Vina Barriger of Ellington; Herbert of Farmington; and Roy at home. Two sisters and a brother survive; Mrs. Nella Calkins, of Kingston; Mrs. Hattie Montague of Deford; and Edd Daines of Monrovia, California. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Remington church, of which she was a faithful member, Wednesday afternoon, with Rev. E.R. Wilson and Rev. R. R. Terwilliger officiating, with burial in Indianfields Cemetery, Caro, MI, lot #48Eugene and Ida both died of chronic myoranditis and hypostatiz pneumonia."
